Mid Backend Developer

Responsibilities

• Implement web-based eCommerce applications using SAP Commerce
• Utilize Java and Spring to build and maintain application features
• Collaborate with teams of engineers, software developers, and architects
• Design, plan, develop, refactor, test, and deliver new features
• Perform peer code reviews and provide suggestions for fixes and improvements
• Develop and maintain unit tests as part of the software development process
• Interact with product owners and product management teams to review and implement proposed designs

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
• Experience in software development with backend development programming languages, particularly Java (Python nice to have)
• Extensive experience working with best practice software development design patterns
• Web-based application development experience using the Spring framework, Java, and JSP
• Experience working with SAP Commerce (nice to have) or any other eCommerce platform based on Spring and Java
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team setting
• Good communication skills in English
• Availability to work in a hybrid mode or remotely with at least 1 visit in the office per quarter
