Frontend Developer – Vue.js & TypeScript

Responsibilities

You will join a cross-functional team developing the Sales Rep Tool (SRT) – a business-critical application used daily by OBI store employees across Europe. The tool supports in-store processes such as customer consultation, appointment handling, and order management. Built on a modular architecture with ~50 microservices, the SRT is a key interface between the physical stores and OBI’s digital ecosystem.

Your responsibilities include:

• Designing, developing, and maintaining frontend components using Vue.js, TypeScript, and Cypress

• Implementing micro frontends and integrating them with a backend built on REST APIs and Kafka

• Participating in agile software development processes (Scrum), including planning, pair programming, and code reviews

• Writing clean, testable, and maintainable code in a fast-moving, product-focused team

• Taking part in shaping user-centric features that are used in over 600 stores daily

• Collaborating closely with product managers, UX designers, and backend developers

Qualifications

• Successfully completed a degree in computer science, mathematics, physics, or a comparable field of study

• 3+ years of experience in frontend development with Vue.js, JavaScript, and TypeScript

• Experience working with RESTful APIs, test automation (Cypress), and microservice architecture

• Familiarity with Kafka and Domain-Driven Design (DDD) is a plus

• Experience in agile Scrum teams and in distributed remote-first environments

• Strong quality awareness and focus on clean, maintainable code

• Fluent communication skills in English and Polish

• Bonus: basic German skills and/or experience with retail or sales-related systems

• Openness to hybrid work and regular visits in Katowice office
