Emarsys Expert

Responsibilities

For an Automotive Project, we are seeking a Emarsys Expert. In this role, you will take responsibility for the design, governance, and quality assurance of database and API architectures within an AWS-based cloud environment. You will work closely with stakeholders and external service providers to ensure that architectural standards, documentation, and delivery quality are consistently met.

• Support SAP Emarsys initiatives, including email template adjustments, cross-team requests, test data creation, ESL use case reviews, and evaluation of reporting requirements.

• Clarify requirements and provide support in the preparation of migration strategies, ensuring alignment across stakeholders.

• Design, document, and govern database, API, and cloud architectures in line with functional and non-functional requirements, advising stakeholders on architectural decisions, technology selection, and best practices.

• Define, document, and maintain functional and technical requirements in JIRA as a basis for implementation by external service providers.

• Review, validate, and formally approve implementations delivered by service providers, ensuring quality, compliance, and architectural alignment.

• Design and oversee RESTful APIs, including lifecycle governance, standardization, and documentation using Swagger/OpenAPI.

• Design and support AWS-based solutions, with a focus on AWS Lambda, AWS Step Functions, cloud-native integration patterns, as well as event-driven architectures and data streaming using Apache Kafka and data integration using Informatica IDMC.

• Act as a technical go-to person in meetings, supporting clarification, decision-making, and cross-team alignment.

Qualifications

• Several years of experience in roles such as Database Architect, API Architect, or Solution Architect, preferably within enterprise or large-scale project environments.

• Experience working with external service providers and distributed delivery teams, including review and ownership of delivered solutions.

• Proven experience in agile project environments, including hands-on use of tools such as JIRA.

• Strong analytical and conceptual skills, with the ability to structure complex functional and technical requirements.

• Demonstrated technical leadership or feature ownership, combined with a high level of ownership, reliability, and quality awareness.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, enabling effective work across teams and organizational units.

• University degree in Computer Science (or a related field) and fluency in English and Polish .
