Team Leader of Data Engineering and Analytics

Please note - this is hybrid with 3 days from the office in Warsaw.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Lead, teach, hire, and support a strong data engineering team

• Build and manage strong and scalable data systems

• Create data models to help with fast and easy data reports

• Improve our systems to get, clean, and load data from different sources using SQL, Amazon Redshift, and other data warehouses

• Build data tools to help the analytics and data science teams create and improve our product

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in data engineering or similar work

• 5+ years of experience leading teams and speaking directly with clients

• Good skills in using cloud ETL tools like AWS Glue and Azure Data Factory

• Experience using Airflow, Prefect, or similar tools for organizing data tasks

• Hands-on experience using DBT for changing and modeling data

• Strong knowledge of data modeling (like star schema, snowflake, etc.)

• Very good at using SQL for working with large data sets

• Experience building and improving data systems and platforms

• Experience with tools like AWS Lambda and cloud services

• Knowledge of Python or R for data analysis

• Experience working with Data Lakes, Data Warehouses, and Data Mesh

• Experience using cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud

• Understanding of how to show data clearly and in smart ways

• Familiar with BI tools like PowerBI, Redash, Tableau, Periscope, or Mode Analytics

• Able to create dynamic reports and visuals using PowerBI

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or similar
