Senior Node.js Developer

Please note - hybrid from Warsaw (3 days from the office, 2 remotely).

Role:

We are looking for a skilled Node.js Developer to join our web development team. As a Node.js Developer, you will be responsible for building and maintaining scalable server-side applications and APIs. You should have strong proficiency in JavaScript, a solid understanding of backend technologies, and experience working with cloud platforms and databases.

Responsibilities:

● Develop and maintain server-side applications using Node.js

● Design and implement RESTful and GraphQL APIs

● Optimize applications for speed, scalability, and security

● Integrate with front-end components and third-party services

● Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other developers

● Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code

● Participate in code reviews and team meetings

● Troubleshoot and debug production issues

● Stay current with emerging technologies and best practices

Requirements:

● Proficiency in Node.js and JavaScript (ES6+)

● Experience with Express.js or similar Node.js frameworks

● Solid understanding of asynchronous programming and event-driven architecture

● Familiarity with REST APIs, WebSockets, and GraphQL

● Knowledge of database systems (e.g., MongoDB, PostgreSQL, MySQL)

● Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git)

● Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

● Experience writing unit tests with tools such as Mocha and Chai

● Experience with authentication middleware, especially federated patterns such as Oauth and OpenID

● Solid foundation in data structures, algorithms, and software design with strong analytical and debugging skills

Nice-to-have:

● Experience with cloud services like AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure

● Knowledge of microservices architecture

● Experience with testing frameworks (Jest, Mocha, etc.) Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies

● Experience developing RAG applications and storing data in vector embeddings

● Experience setting up CI for static analysis and test execution
