About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Backend Engineer to join our development team.

Our backend is written fully in Python and runs in the cloud on Kubernetes. It is not a standard backend with a web UI - our system works with real-time audio streams and connects to many third-party services. Because of the challenges and speed of a startup, each team member gains strong professional growth and ownership.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Connecting with new POS systems and digital menu boards

• Building data pipelines for restaurant menus

• Supporting and improving current integrations and pipelines

• Debugging and solving complex customer issues

• Leading communication with integration partners

• Planning and delivering integration projects

• Managing a wide range of customer problems

• Writing documentation for integrations

Qualifications

• BSc in Software Development or similar experience

• 5+ years working with Python

• Strong backend development and architecture skills

• Experience with production-ready projects

• Skilled with Async IO

• Experience in CI/CD, cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure), Linux, Docker, Kubernetes, and third-party API integrations

• Experience with Data Pipelines and ETL

• Previous work in startups

• 2+ years as a tech lead or team lead

Nice to have:

• Knowledge of concurrency

• Experience with React
