Your Impact

Launching an Android app is Kanary’s next big milestone. We've built a web app loved by 20,000+ members, raised VC funding (YC, 2048), achieved profitability, and recently launched iOS. Now, we’re bringing our privacy service to Android using our iOS app as a blueprint. We need a talented Android developer to help us deliver a high-impact beta release.

What You’ll Do

• Architecture & Setup: Establish project structure, implement MVVM with Jetpack Compose, configure DI, and CI/CD.
• Core Implementation: Build secure storage, network layer (Django API), and reusable UI components.
• Performance & Security: Optimize startup/runtime, ensure secure data handling, and set up ProGuard rules.
• Collaboration: Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, and best practice documentation.

What You Bring

• 3+ launched Android apps with expertise in Jetpack Compose, dependency injection, coroutines, and secure data storage.
• Experience in fast-moving startups with a strong grasp of modern Android dev standards.
• Bonus: Privacy/security app experience or iOS-to-Android porting.

• Remote, with preference for PST overlap or Seattle-based candidates.

Recruitment process:
