React Native Team Leader

About the project:

Join a startup within a larger company. As the first full-time technical hire on this new team, you will play a key role in shaping both the product and the team itself. The app you build will enable users to track their healthy habits, providing personalized guidance that integrates intermittent fasting and other wellness strategies. We are looking for an Engineering Tech Lead with experience building enterprise-grade applications. This role includes responsibility for application architecture and design. This role is a great fit for an experienced tech generalist who has significant experience with mobile development and a thirst to do more than work on requirements other people create for him or her. Our small team is intent on working collaboratively to make a lasting positive impact on our users’ lives.

Our requirements:

• Solid experience in mobile app development and 3+ years as a Senior Software Engineer or Tech Lead in an Agile environment.
• Experience deploying Android/iOS applications on Google Play/App Store
• Experience setting technical direction, ensuring the quality, performance, and scalability of the product.
• Knowledge of Relational Databases SQL and No-SQL databases
• Experience in multiple tech stacks.
• Experience developing distributed systems using Microservice architecture (event-based)
• Strong proficiency in React Native framework, patterns for code reuse, state management libraries, routing architecture

Good to have:

• Experience with native mobile app development (Android/iOS)
• Experience with cloud platform. (AWS / GCP)
• BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject
• Passion for AI, machine learning, big data, and staying current with the latest technologies.

This role require meetings with US-based team members twice per week before 19:00 CET.
