Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced QA Lead to guide our quality assurance processes and ensure the delivery of reliable, secure, and high-performing software. The right candidate will have strong experience in manual and automated testing, API testing, mobile testing, and non-functional testing. You will lead a QA team, define test strategies, and improve QA efficiency across projects. In this role, you will take full ownership of the QA function for your product area, manage QAs reporting to you, and work with other leads to improve QA processes.
Key Responsibilities
Test Planning & Strategy
Create test strategies, plans, and test cases for different testing needs.
Define test objectives, timelines, and scope based on project requirements.
Identify risks and suggest solutions to avoid delays.
Apply best practices in test documentation and case management.
Continuously improve QA processes and align with industry standards.
Work with other leads to enhance QA practices.
Manual & Automation Testing
Perform functional, regression, integration, and system testing.
Build and maintain automation tests with Selenium WebDriver, Playwright, Cypress, and similar tools.
Find automation opportunities and improve efficiency with scripts.
Combine manual and automated testing for full coverage.
Work with developers to integrate testing into CI/CD pipelines.
Ensure a strong automation framework is in place.
API & Mobile Testing
Test APIs with tools like Postman or REST Assured.
Make sure API testing matches business and functional needs.
Test mobile apps (Android & iOS) for performance, usability, and function.
Automate API and mobile test cases where possible.
Non-Functional Testing
Run performance and load tests with JMeter.
Check systems for security, scalability, usability, and accessibility.
Perform security testing to find and fix risks.
Collaborate with DevOps to improve CI/CD testing integration.
Team Leadership & Coordination
Lead, mentor, and guide the QA team.
Assign tasks, track progress, and run team meetings.
Build collaboration with developers, business, and QA teams.
Set up effective bug tracking, triage, and resolution processes.
Provide training and knowledge sharing for team members.
Support the growth of junior QA members.
Oversee QAs reporting to you and provide guidance.
Communication & Reporting
Track and share quality metrics, defect trends, and test status.
Align QA activities with business priorities.
Work with DevOps to maintain CI/CD pipelines.
Use JIRA, Slack, and other tools for communication and bug tracking.
Prepare detailed test reports and documentation for compliance.
Report progress and challenges to your manager.
Required Skills & Qualifications
7–8+ years in QA, automation, and team leadership.
Strong background in manual and automated testing.
Skilled in Selenium WebDriver, Playwright, and Cypress.
Experience with API testing (Postman, REST Assured) and mobile testing (Android, iOS).
Knowledge of performance testing (JMeter).
Good understanding of SDLC and QA methodologies.
Familiar with CI/CD, DevOps, and test automation practices.
Experience with JIRA, Slack, and test management tools.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Excellent leadership, communication, and mentoring abilities.
Experience in risk-based testing and compliance.
Preferred
ISTQB Certification or similar.
Experience with AI-driven test automation tools.
Familiarity with new technologies in automation and performance testing.
