We are preparing to open recruitment for Software Development Engineer roles in our Kraków-based teams within the next month.


About the role:


Join us as a Software Development Engineer on Remitly's Content Platform Team! Our mission is to build scalable, high-performance web architectures that enhance search engine discoverability, improve user experience, and support organic growth. You’ll tackle technical challenges in SEO, AEO (Answer Engine Optimization), content delivery, and web performance optimization at scale. You will report to a Kraków-based Manager.


You Will:

  • Design and implement large-scale web architectures to improve global performance and search engine discoverability.

  • Optimize page speed, core web vitals, and other performance metrics across mobile and desktop platforms.

  • Configure and manage CDNs (e.g., Cloudflare, Akamai, or others) to ensure scalability, reliability, and security.

  • Implement and maintain SEO/AEO features like structured data, sitemaps, canonical tags, and hreflangs.

  • Collaborate across teams (engineering, marketing, and product) to deliver scalable, SEO-friendly solutions.


You Have:

  • 4+ years of software development experience with a focus on web performance and scalability.

  • Experience building and optimizing large-scale web architectures.

  • Strong understanding of server-side rendering (SSR), hydration, and web frameworks like React or Next.js.

  • Good knowledge of backend programming languages such as Java or Golang.

  • Experience configuring and optimizing CDNs for performance and scalability.

  • Expertise in technical SEO/AEO, including structured data, canonicalization, and search bot optimization.

  • Proficiency in performance monitoring and observability tools (e.g., Lighthouse, WebPageTest).


Nice to have:

  • Experience working in a corporate web environment or web agency specializing in high-scale systems. 

  • Experience with modern JavaScript bundlers such as Webpack, Vite, or Esbuild. 

  • Familiarity with global web performance challenges and internationalization (i18n). Knowledge of headless CMS.
