About the Role:
The Infrastructure team provides a platform that reduces cognitive load for developers across Remitly. We deliver a high-velocity, low-friction environment for engineers throughout all stages of the SDLC. Our team builds self-service capabilities, embedding observability, compliance, security, and operational excellence into paved pathways, while also providing guardrails for product teams.
You will report to the local manager and be part of the Developer Platform organization, which includes teams such as SRE, Developer Experience (DEVX), and Data. The Infrastructure team is based in Kraków, but they collaborate closely with the US teams.

You Will:
Build and own Developer Platform products with engineers as the primary users, including AWS cloud environments and the Kubernetes (EKS) platform.
Design and implement software solutions for large, complex, and ambiguous technical problems, often spanning multiple systems and teams.
Proactively research, evaluate, and champion new technologies for adoption across the team.
Solve broad technical challenges: contribute to the creation and implementation of solutions to organizational and engineering-wide problems, bringing expertise in technical reviews, coding, engineering excellence, and development processes.
Identify and prioritize improvements: recognize, articulate, and help address technical, operational, product, and organizational challenges that impact the Infrastructure engineering team's ability to perform at its best.
Support the Infrastructure team through a rotating on-call schedule.
You Have:
A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
3 + years of relevant engineering experience.
Expertise in one or more general purpose programming languages such as Go, Java, C++, C#, Python or Ruby.
1+ years of experience building and operating microservices-oriented infrastructure in the cloud (AWS preferred).
Experience with containerization tools and building/running Kubernetes clusters.
Experience designing and implementing infrastructure with attention to API design, scalability, performance, and observability.
Strong skills in designing and implementing well-instrumented, well-documented, and future-ready solutions.
Familiarity with cloud networking concepts and technologies is a plus
