About the Role:

As a Senior Software Engineer for the Global Money Movement team you will build full-stack experiences for our global payments systems.

You will build consumer-facing features by contributing across the frontend and backend stack. You will be an important technical voice in ensuring we build features that deliver money to customers globally and let us expand at an increasing pace. You will work across the entire Global Money Movement stack and with our front-end teams in both Krakow and Seattle.

You will be reporting to a Senior Engineering Manager for this role and work in a hybrid capacity from our Krakow office.

You Will:

• Lead our front-end vision and guide the other engineers on the team to build features and advocate for trader offs and optimizations.

• Build with quality: Build responsibly and with confidence by writing performant, well-tested, and maintainable code.

• Build delightful experiences: Work with the team to implement mobile app features that solve for our users. You will deploy your expertise in coding, testing, and supportability to ship innovations with high quality and velocity.

• Be a Cultural Leader: Be a role model in upholding Remitly's cultural values and use them as a framework to coach other engineers on the team to achieve their full potential.

You Have:

• A degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field or equivalent experience

• 7+ years of experience building features used by millions of users

• 6+ years frontend feature development in partnership with Engineers, Product Managers, and Designers

• Experience creating and implementing plans for app rollout, experimentation, instrumentation and supportability

• Proficiency in any of the following languages and frameworks: NodeJS, TypeScript, JavaScript, React, ReactNative, and Expo

• Proficiency in CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab, etc.)

Compensation Details

The starting base salary range for this position is typically zł320,000 – zł360,000 per annum. In Poland, Remitly employees are shareholders in our Company and equity is part of our total compensation plan. Remitly Poland applies increased tax deductible costs (KUP) to remuneration earned by certain qualifying employees (to the extent an employee will be involved in the creation of the software as an "author") for the transfer of copyrights, in accordance with the relevant provisions of the Personal Income Tax Act.
