Senior Java Engineer (AI Workflows)

We are currently looking for a Senior Java Engineer to join our client, a global leader in the travel and transportation sector, providing cutting-edge software and IT systems that automate business processes, operations, and customer service for the industry. With a stable market position and a commitment to innovation, they empower clients and travelers with greater control and convenience through intelligent technology.

This specific project focuses on the aviation industry, where our client delivers comprehensive software for managing crucial airline operations. This includes systems for passenger reservations, network management, revenue control, and various operational and analytical tools.

We're building two brand-new teams from the ground up, dedicated to creating internal, greenfield projects. These teams will be at the forefront of innovation, utilizing new frameworks and advanced AI solutions such as Agentic AI, MCP and AI Workflows. In essence, you'll be instrumental in developing AI-driven systems and workflows that mirror agency-like processes (e.g., travel agency operations or ticket booking automation). You'll work closely with Java and AI technologies, specifically leveraging Google Cloud Platform. 

We are primarily looking for candidates who are available by the beginning of August at the latest for long-term cooperation. 

Responsibilities: 

• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to design, develop, test, and deploy high-quality software solutions that consistently meet our Definition of Done.

• Actively participate in code reviews, ensuring code quality, maintainability, and adherence to best practices. 

• Take ownership of tasks within the team backlog, demonstrating strong self-organization and proactivity in managing your workload and contributing to team goals.

Requirements: 

• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in enterprise Java programming, demonstrating a deep understanding of Java ecosystems, frameworks, and design patterns.

• Proven expertise with cloud environments, particularly Google Cloud Platform, including familiarity with its core services, deployment strategies, and best practices for cloud-native development.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills
