We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team at Relout as an Lead Backend Developer (Typescript/AWS). If you are a talented leader with a passion for tackling complex challenges through software-based solutions, this opportunity is for you.

As the Team Leader you will play a crucial role in our team, combining your technical expertise with leadership skills. You will be responsible for overseeing a talented group of individuals, ensuring the successful delivery of projects, and actively participating in the technical development and implementation of backend solutions.

We are looking for a willing to join a long-term project for our strategic client – one of the largest manufacturing companies from Sweden, offering IoT solutions and assets management. In this role you will lead a team of passionate engineers responsible for development and maintenance of business critical micro-services such as integrations, payments as well as user identity, authorization and access management.

The company is well-established in the market, but even so, the work culture is not like in typical corporations. Teams are small and autonomous, engineers are given extensive freedom of action, and remote-first & async-first approach is promoted (spotify-derived model). 🔷Responsibilities:

• Lead and guide a cross-functional team consisting of backend/fullstack engineers (senior level) that develop core company products
• Be a team player – focus on providing resources and information your team members need to achieve their goals and get their stuff done
• Drive team plannings, dailies and other ceremonies that you choose to be necessary to prioritize and execute work
• Cultivate a respectful and supportive environment for all team members that effectively leverage the potential of the team.
• Coach and mentor team members to increase their impact through regular performance development and feedback conversations.
• Remain hands-on and continue being active as a developer – Typescript & Node.js - to technically support the team with its tasks and responsibilities, and understand team needs
• Design and develop cloud native applications based on AWS services like Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB and EventBridge
• Design and implement test automation with holistic approach in Frisby/ Postman/Cypress
• Work closely with the Architects & SRE team and follow security & reliability standards
• Work closely with product owners, managers and other leaders to fully align on requirements, goals and company OKRs
• Collaborate with the team and drive it while ensuring high code quality and standards
• Be actively involved in designing and developing reliable & secure backend features/functions

🎯Requirements:

• Min. 8 years of experience as Backend Developer or Fullstack Developer with documented experience as a team/tech leader with recent projects in TypeScript and Node.js
• Experience in engineering and implementing complex and distributed systems and applications. 
• Ability to share your knowledge, experiences and opinions on the forum via technology demos / brainstorming sessions
• Willingness to grow and learn with passion for creating new solutions

• Experience in working closely with product and design teams as well as doing pair programming in small, agile, and cross-functional teams.

• Being a Team Player, and being able to help people to grow and guide decision-making processes.
• Fluent verbal and written skills in Polish and English.

Nice to have:

• Familiarity with Identity Access Management systems & solutions (IAM), ideally with proven record in designing and implementing custom IAM solutions
• Working with Backstage (Dev Portal)
• Developing & maintaining service observability & telemetry in Grafana/Loki/Tempo
