We are currently looking for a Data Science Engineer for our client a large company in the airline industry. This sector is currently undergoing a transformation in the areas of retail and distribution, which requires advanced data analytics support to optimize revenue and enhance customer experience.
🔷Responsibilities:
Collaborate closely with airline industry experts to identify and explore opportunities where data can drive insights and enable predictive modeling of customer behavior and operational performance.
Evaluate the quality, reliability, and impact of various data sources and forecasting methodologies to improve data-driven decision-making.
Design and implement tailored data models and algorithms, and conduct proof-of-concept studies to validate their effectiveness.
Utilize existing statistical and machine learning frameworks to refine and expand internal algorithmic capabilities.
Work hand-in-hand with software engineers to deploy AI/ML models as production-grade solutions, ensuring code is robust and scalable.
Build tools and processes to continuously monitor data quality and model performance over time.
Present software solutions to clients, perform benchmark demonstrations, fine-tune models based on specific use cases, and provide training for effective adoption and maintenance.
Address customer feedback, troubleshoot issues, and suggest or implement product enhancements to ensure continued value and satisfaction.
🎯Requirements:
A graduate-level degree (Master’s or PhD) in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Operations Research, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related discipline with a focus on Machine Learning.
Demonstrated experience in applying advanced analytical and modeling techniques to practical, real-world challenges.
Strong understanding of core machine learning methods (e.g. clustering, decision trees, neural networks) as well as key statistical principles (e.g. regression analysis, distribution properties, hypothesis testing).
Proficiency in programming with at least two to three of the following languages or tools: R, SQL, Python, TensorFlow, PySpark, Java, JavaScript, or C++.
Hands-on experience with GCP, particularly using Vertex AI for building and managing machine learning workflows, and BigQuery for handling large-scale data
Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform and modern containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
Understanding of MLOps best practices, especially in integrating machine learning pipelines into enterprise-level CI/CD workflows.
Practical knowledge in configuring model monitoring solutions and implementing autoscaling mechanisms for real-time ML prediction services.
Proven track record of deploying machine learning APIs in production on GCP, ideally using Google Kubernetes Engine
Communicative Polish and English skills (spoken and written) - must have
