Are you an experienced聽Technical QA Tester聽looking for a new challenge in the mobile game development industry? We are seeking a聽Mid-Level Technical QA Tester聽with expertise in聽Unity and backend development聽to join our team and play a crucial role in ensuring the quality, functionality, and performance of our games. In this position, you will work closely with developers, designers, and production teams to identify and resolve issues, improve testing processes, and contribute to delivering top-notch gaming experiences.
聽聽聽聽This role will report to the聽Head of Production.聽This is a full-time, in-office position based in the iconic railway station building in Krakow.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute聽manual and technical testing聽of mobile games, ensuring high-quality releases.
- Develop, implement, and maintain聽comprehensive test plans and test cases.
- Perform聽functional, exploratory, regression, usability, performance, and compatibility testing.
- Identify, document, and track bugs using industry-standard tools.
- Analyze game design specifications and provide feedback on potential issues.
- Collaborate closely with developers, designers, and production teams to ensure smooth communication and efficient issue resolution.
- Participate in聽risk assessment聽for new features and game updates.
- Assist in聽mentoring junior testers聽and contribute to improving testing workflows.
- Ensure adherence to聽QA best practices聽and help refine testing strategies.
- Work with聽database tools (e.g., MySQL)聽to verify game data integrity.
- Perform聽backend API testing聽and validate server-side functionalities.
- Debug and analyze logs using聽Unity debugging tools and backend monitoring systems.
Job requirements
- 2+ years of experience聽in QA testing, preferably in the gaming industry.
- Strong understanding of聽QA methodologies, test design, and software development processes.
- Experience with聽mobile game testing聽(iOS and Android platforms).
- Solid experience with聽Unity game engine聽and debugging tools.
- Basic understanding of聽backend development聽and ability to test server-side functionality.
- Experience with聽REST API testing聽and tools like Postman.
- Excellent聽analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and proactively identify potential issues.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Detail-oriented mindset with a structured approach to testing.
- Experience with聽bug tracking tools聽(e.g., JIRA, TestRail, or similar).
- Knowledge of聽SQL/MySQL聽for database validation.
- English B2 or higher聽(spoken and written).
Nice to Have:
- Experience with聽F2P mobile games.
- Familiarity with聽test automation frameworks.
- Understanding of聽Agile/Scrum methodologies.
