About the project
TUI, is a global business with over 70 000 people on board, great history and challenging plans for building a digital future. TUI is the largest leisure, travel and tourism company globally, and it owns travel agencies, hotels, airlines, cruise ships and retail shops.

As a Platform Engineer, you will help build and operate a scalable AI & Analytics platform, enabling internal Data Science and business teams to work efficiently and securely. You take end-to-end ownership of the platform, from design to operation, with a strong focus on quality, documentation, security, observability, and automation. Working hands-on in a cross-functional, international team, you continuously improve CI/CD, support platform adoption, and drive technical excellence through collaboration and innovation.

What you'll do

Full SDLC:

• Build and operate a secure, scalable AWS-based ML platform for internal teams

• Build platform frameworks that allow teams to:

  • Set up and manage AWS accounts

  • Integrate with the SageMaker ecosystem

  • Design and scale infrastructure for ML use cases

• Own the MLOps lifecycle (training, deployment, monitoring, governance)

• Implement Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred / AWS CDK) and ensure reliability, observability, and cost control

• Translate stakeholder requirements into scalable platform solutions and continuously improve the platform in a lean team

What we're looking for

• Strong hands-on AWS experience, with SageMaker (mandatory), Bedrock, IAM, S3, CloudWatch, Cost Explorer

• Solid MLOps expertise across the full ML lifecycle

• Infrastructure as Code experience (Terraform or AWS CDK)

• Hand-on Docker expertise

• Proficiency in Python

• Experience with platform engineering and building frameworks

• Senior-level autonomy, ownership mindset

Nice-to-Have

• GenAI/LLM exposure

• Deep knowledge of SageMaker Pipelines, Model Registry, Endpoints

• Experience in large-scale, multi-team environments

• Strong AWS observability and monitoring expertise

• ML background (advantage)
