Security Engineer

Pwrteams invites Senior Security Engineer to join a crucial project for one of the fastest growing streaming platforms.

The project focuses on integrating Fastly within the streaming infrastructure to ensure balanced operational efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and robust security to support the streaming service's growth and reliability.

What You'll Do:

• Fully integrate security measures into the Fastly deployment process.
• Implement Web Application Firewalls (WAF) for streaming services.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts for monitoring and enhancing security processes.
• Document all security frameworks and protocols used throughout the process.
• Conduct regular security assessments and vulnerability scans, including SAST, DAST, and SCA.
• Contribute to the development of cost-efficient security strategies.

What We're Looking For:

• min 3-5 years of experience in cybersecurity or a related field.
• Understanding of Web Application Firewalls (WAF) and their application in security.
• Foundational knowledge of security frameworks such as NIST, OWASP, ISO27001.
• Strong project management and communication skills.
• Expertise in scripting languages (e.g., Python) for automating and building internal security tools.
• Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, such as Terraform.
• Strong understanding of AWS, including security best practices in cloud environments.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins, GitHub, GitLab, etc.
• Familiarity with application security tooling, including Software Composition Analysis (SCA), Static Application Security Testing (SAST), and Dynamic Application Security Testing (DAST).
• Excellent project management skills to lead security initiatives, along with effective communication to collaborate with engineering teams.
