Azure Engineer/Architect

At Pretius we are looking for Azure Engineer/Architect to a global-scale Gaming and Lotteries project.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Azure cloud infrastructure and a keen eye for identifying optimization opportunities, with a particular focus on cost savings. As a Cloud Engineer, you will be responsible for evaluating our existing Azure environment, recommending improvements, and implementing solutions to enhance performance and reduce costs.

Location: remote or Warsaw

Salary: 180-200 pln netto/h

Project / Role

• Collaborate with product teams across the company to assess and challenge decisions in cloud leading to improved cost optimization.
• Develop and implement strategies to improve the efficiency and performance of cloud resources, highly technical conversations, able to learn new technologies quickly
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
• Stay up-to-date with the latest Azure features, best practices, and industry trends
• Optimize our committed spend ongoing across product with Reserved Instances and Savings Plans

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Cloud Engineer or similar role, with a focus on Azure cloud infrastructure
• Strong understanding of Azure services, including compute, storage, networking, and security
• Previous experience working with cloud solutions with a focus on optimizing costs
• Knowledge and experience in Cloud Governance & FinOps
• Deep Azure Kubernetes experience
• Proficiency in scripting and automation using tools such as PowerShell, Azure CLI, or ARM templates
• Familiarity and experience with committed spend (Reserved Instances & Savings Plans)

Nice to have:

• Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insightsrnetes)
• Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator), AWS certification
• Experience with GCP (Google Cloud Platform)
