Currently, we’re seeking a Mid/Senior Java Developer to join an international project for a major European fintech company that provides secure and seamless payment solutions for retailers and online businesses. Their platform enables multi-channel payments and supports companies in managing and optimizing the entire payment process.

This project is scheduled to start on September 1st, 2025 and is planned to run until December 31st, 2025, with potential for extension beyond the initial end date.

Get ready to...

• Design and develop backend features using Java to support secure and scalable payment solutions.

• Maintain and improve existing codebase with regular bug fixes and updates.

• Work closely with frontend developers, QA, and BAs to deliver high-performing, reliable software.

• Participate in code and design reviews to ensure high quality and adherence to standards.

• Produce clear documentation to support cross-team understanding and collaboration.

• Collaborate with QA to define test plans, reproduce defects, and verify fixes.

• Cooperate with support teams to address customer issues and implement improvements.

• Contribute to a financial platform used across multiple sales channels in Europe.

If you have...

• 5+ years of experience in Java software development for backend systems.

• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP and connection-based programming.

• Experience with DevOps tools (e.g. GitLab CI, Jenkins, Jira).

• Familiarity with testing frameworks (e.g. JUnit).

• Good command of SQL and relational databases.

• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with stakeholders.

• Independence, ownership mentality, and strong problem-solving skills.

• Fluency in English (spoken and written).

Bonus points if you have...

• Experience with ISO 8583, ISO 20022, or EMV 3-D Secure protocols.

• Understanding of Open API concepts and standards.

• Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes.

• Background in the payment or financial technology industry.
