Machine Learning Technical Lead

We are looking for an experienced ML Platform Tech Lead to play a pivotal role in developing a machine learning platform designed to democratize ML capabilities across the company. This platform aims to streamline and empower ML workflows by providing essential components like a feature store, model registry, experiment management, and comprehensive CI/CD support for model services and ML pipelines.

The platform is expanding to include cutting-edge components that support Generative AI and an agentic approach to AI development, allowing us to stay at the forefront of industry trends. As the ML Platform Tech Lead, you will work closely with a team of skilled developers and collaborate with a Team Lead who has a strong background in key development areas. The team is using agile methodologies in their daily work. Together, this team is dedicated to building scalable, user-friendly ML infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the development and implementation of core platform components.
• Drive the integration of Generative AI and agentic AI components to enhance the platform’s capabilities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with company needs and industry best practices.
• Mentor and support team members to foster continuous learning and growth.
• Integrate and optimize open-source solutions within the platform (e.g., Kubeflow Pipelines, ZenML, BentoML, Langchain) and incorporate additional tools as needed.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• Strong knowledge of microservices architecture.
• Proficient in Java (Spring / JPA) and Python (FastApi / SqlAlchemy), with a solid background in software engineering and ML platform development.
• Experience with CI/CD tools, Docker and Kubernetes.
• Hands-on experience with open-source or provided by vendors ML tools and infrastructure like MLFlow, MetaFlow, DataRobot, or similar.
• Experience with Spark and other big data tools is a plus.
• Demonstrated experience in leading and mentoring development teams in complex technical projects.
• A proactive mindset for innovation, particularly around ML and AI platform improvements.
