We work with clients all over the world.For the project that we are working on with our foreign partner, we are looking for Senior System Administrator (relocation to Munich area).
Your duties will include:
You will be responsible for the stability, performance, and security of critical systems.
Installing, configurating, and maintaining Linux servers (physical, virtual).
DNS, NAS, SAN Infrastructure maintenance and administration.
Maintaining and administrating web application servers and services (Apache, Nginx, Tomcat).
Maintaining and administration of the VMware infrastructure and monitoring application (Icinga, Grafana and Prometheus, etc.)
Managing backup and recovery processes across all servers.
Managing user and system accounts.
Monitoring of system performance, identifying bottlenecks, and optimising performance.
Diagnosing and repairing faults, removing errors in systems.
Root cause analysis and incident management for “Server and Infrastructure” related incidents.
Participating in 2nd + 3rd line support teams for “Server and Infrastructure” related activities.
Creating scripts and automating repetitive processes.
Executing routine tasks and controlling activities.
Identifying and applying security patches and bug fixes.
Reacting to alarms and cybersecurity incidents.
Automation and orchestration.
Creating and maintaining documentation.
Requirements that must be met:
At least 5 years of experience as a System Administrator or in a similar role within the IT services industry.
Solid professional knowledge of operating systems: Windows, Linux (Red Hat, Ubuntu, CentOS) and virtualization technologies: VMware, Hyper-V.
Proficiency in scripting and automation using PowerShell and Bash.
Experience with automated configuration management tools: Ansible, Puppet.
The following valid certifications are a plus: ITIL Foundation, VMware Certified Professional - Data Center Virtualization (VCP-DCV), Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE), Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA).
Hands-on mentality, analytical, structured and solution-oriented mindset with a strong sense of responsibility.
Business fluent in English (min. C1).
Good German skills (min. B2) is an advantage.
