Linux Software Engineer - UAV Systems (hybrid in Germany / Gilching)

We work directly for our clients and also support our partners in their own solutions. This ensures a wide range of projects and the ability to change! We work with clients all over the world.For the project that we are working on with our foreign partner, we are looking for Linux Software Engineer – UAV Systems, hybrid in Germany / Gilching.

Your duties will include:

• Develop and maintain Linux-based applications for drone platforms

• Integrate third-party hardware/software into Linux systems

• Analyze logs from actual test flights and missions

• Troubleshoot hardware/software issues

• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and embedded Linux build systems (Yocto/Buildroot)

• Write unit, integration, and functional tests

• Work in an Agile environment with documentation of system architecture

Requirements that must be met:

• 3+ years of experience in Linux software development (embedded, robotics, or similar)

• Strong skills in C/C++14+, Linux internals, cross-compilation

• Experience with Yocto or Buildroot, GDB, strace, perf, etc.

• Familiarity with Git, CI/CD practices, automated testing

• Solid problem-solving skills at the software-hardware interface

• Very good English and Polish

Nice to have:

• Background in UAV, automotive, or aerospace systems

• Experience with DDS, MAVLink, CAN, or real-time Linux

• Knowledge of containerization (Docker)

• Familiarity with safety-critical software standards
