Database Engineer / Administrator - (Informix / IBM Power)

People More has been in existence for over three years and is an offshoot of one of the country's oldest interactive agencies - Insignia. The company is made up of people with a huge client base in the country and abroad, for whom we build projects from scratch (UX, UI, frontend, backend, mobile) or in part. We work directly for our clients and also support our partners in their own solutions. This ensures a wide range of projects and the ability to change! We work with clients all over the world.

For the project that we are working on with our foreign partner, we are looking for Database Engineer / Administrator (Informix / IBM Power).

Your duties will include:

• Planning and executing the migration of a 30 TB Informix database to a new platform
• Supporting the selection of the target architecture and optimizing the solution
• Launching a test migration within a month, analyzing results, and implementing improvements
• Collaborating with the IT team and technology providers
• Performance optimization, database tuning, and ETL process automation

Requirements that must be met:

• Experience in database administration and migration (Informix experience is a plus)
• Knowledge of IBM Power and x86 architectures
• Experience in migrating large-scale databases (20 TB+)
• Proficiency with ETL tools and migration scripts
• Strong SQL skills and query optimization expertise
• Experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server, or Oracle is a plus
• Very good English and Polish
