As part of this team, you will be working at the nexus of Pega Infinity running on Pega Cloud, providing the tooling automation for our Pega Cloud Operations team helping to ensure our clients receive data access requests, configurations changes, software maintenance and updates in a standardized and consistent manner all without downtime using the latest Cloud technologies.

Our Pega Cloud team is distributed globally with three major technology centers in the US, in the EU and in India.

What You'll Do at Pega:

• 60% - Cloud Software Engineering

o Contributing to software design and building highly available, scalable cloud-native systems using Golang, Java, or Pega Platform.

o Work as part of a collaborative agile team and can lead complex user stores and simple epics to completion.

o Participate in code reviews by providing helpful and relevant feedback.

o Develop understandable, well-documented code, which meets team’s coding and design standards.

• 20% - Cloud Service Design

o Design and execute basic unit, integration, and API tests leveraging appropriate testing frameworks.

o Work with Product Owners and other stakeholders along with the team members to design and document new Pega Cloud features.

• 20% - Cloud Service DevOps

o Assist our operations team, and other engineering teams, with sophisticated support for the product along the entire service lifecycle.

o Automate complex operational activities by leveraging DevOps tools and building CI/CD pipelines for multiple services.

Who You Are:

• You are a passionate developer with sufficient experience to drive chunks of work to completion solely.

• You are an effective communicator, open to feedback, willing to share thoughts and ask questions.

• You are passionate about learning new technologies and enjoy working in an agile environment that values collaboration and teamwork.

• You understand the basis of DevOps culture, and you have a quality-oriented mindset.

What You've Accomplished:

• 2+ years of experience in software designing and development.

• Very good knowledge of Golang or Java.

• Good understanding of software design principles, design patterns, and the ability to produce software designs for small-scale projects.

• Experience with building DevOps automation and pipeline tools (Jenkins/Gradle).

• Understanding of Cloud technologies (equivalent to AWS Associate Architect, GCP Associate Cloud Engineer, or similar).

• Understanding of Kubernetes and Docker containers (equivalent to CKAD certification).

• Understanding of Infrastructure as a Code principles (Helm/Terraform).

• Understanding of RDBMS and an understanding of the best practices for Application development.

• Accustomed to Agile methodologies.

• Very good command of English.
