Analytics Engineering Specialist

Join our new, strategic data transformation team in Analytics, focused on moving analytics workloads to Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and co-create high work standards for entire department. 

Your responsibilities:

• Migrate data and analytics processes developed in Oracle, Python and SAS from on premise environments (Oracle, SAS, Python) to Google BigQuery (GBQ) using Dataform and Data Build Tool (dbt).

• Design, develop, and maintain data processing pipelines and analytical solutions using BigQuery, Dataform, SQL, Python, Vertex AI, dbt.

• Contribute to the process of Analytics Data Platform reshape and modernization, moving analytics processes and pipelines to new, built from-the-scratch environment in Google Could Platform utilizing modern concepts and technologies.

• Participate in the internal community of experts in the evaluation and co-creation of department work standards, quality assurance best practices and architectural discussions. Proactively bring new ideas, improvements, and optimizations to data processes and analytical solutions. You will work in an Agile framework, contributing actively to sprint planning, delivery, and continuous improvement.

• Provide substantive support of other team members. Collaborate closely with analytics, data engineering, and business teams to understand business needs and translate them into scalable technical solutions.

Your Profile:

• Prior 3+ years professional experience with mass data processing.

• Proficiency in SQL, with hands-on experience in BigQuery and/or Oracle (or other, comparable relational database system).

• Knowledge of Dataform on GCP or practical knowledge of similar data transformation tool (preffered dbt) or strong willingness to learn and develop in Dataform usage.

• Experience with Google Cloud Platform.

• Experience working with Git.

• Knowledge of Python for data analytics and data engineering purposes.

• An analytical mindset, proactive attitude, and ability to work independently as well as within a team.

• Very good English is a must.

• Nice to have:

• Past learnings in area of building, maintaining and assuring quality of complex data products, combining multiple data sources and serving as a source of truth for multiple stakeholders.

• Knowledge on working with GitHub, including practical use of GitHub Copilot in daily development.

• Experience working with business stakeholders.

• Track record of data transformation pipelines migration, preferably from on premises system to Cloud environment.

• Experience with infrastructure as a code (Terraform), SAS, JavaScript.

• Interest in modern data architectures, automation, and AI/ML use cases.
