Senior Fullstack Developer (African market)

At pawaPass, we’re not just building a product - we’re designing the foundation of trusted digital identity in Africa. Our platform powers KYC, verification, and onboarding for emerging markets across the continent, with real-world applications in fintech, betting, mobile wallets, and more.

Following a fresh round of funding, we’re entering a new chapter of scale and transformation - and we’re looking for a Senior Fullstack Engineer to lead the development of our admin and partner-facing dashboards from scratch. This is your opportunity to build tools that manage real identities, access to sensitive data, and the digital trust layer of the fastest-growing markets on the planet.

About the role

You’ll be the technical lead for building out the partner-facing dashboard: a secure, high-performance platform used by B2B clients to manage everything from API keys and audit logs to manual verifications and reviewing document data. Think of it as the command center behind every pawaPass integration.

You’ll work side-by-side with our Tech Lead and PM, and report vision-level work directly to the CPTO. This is a greenfield project, with a soft shadow of the existing Retool dashboard. You’ll choose the tech stack, architecture, and admin tooling - React Admin, Tweakpane, or build your own? Your call.

What you’ll be building:

• A new partner-facing dashboard (sunsetting the current Retool build)

• Advanced role-based access control and permission management

• Audit logs and secure event tracking

• Verification data browsing & manual approval

• API key management and usage analytics

• Support for multi-tenant configurations

• Future integrations with biometric scans, document data, and fraud signals

• This isn’t just CRUD for internal users. This is an interface that grants access to real identities, needs to run securely and reliably, and touches sensitive cross-border data

You’ll need:

• 5+ years of experience as a Fullstack Developer

• Strong Node.js + TypeScript backend experience

• Proficiency in React.js + TypeScript frontend development

• Comfort with PostgreSQL and ORMs like Prisma

• Knowledge of RBAC, secure authentication, and API key management

• Hands-on experience with unit and E2E testing

• Working knowledge of Docker, Git, and CI/CD workflows

Nice to have:

• Familiarity with audit logging, analytics, or internal tool design

• Experience working with biometric data, document scans, or identity systems

• Past use of frameworks like React Admin, Retool, or low-code platforms

• Products built for emerging markets or highly regulated environments

• Experience building admin or partner-facing dashboards
