Platform Engineer
We are looking for a skilled Platform Engineer to design, build, and operate a scalable infrastructure platform on top of Kubernetes. This platform will serve as an foundation enabling development teams to deploy, operate, and scale applications reliably and securely 🚀
You will work at the intersection of cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes, automation, and developer experience, owning core platform services and ensuring operational excellence. You will be part of a global talented team of software engineers who work on exciting cutting edge and mission critical applications that advance the state of digital modernization, cloud computing and serverless supercomputing 👨💻
In your role as a Platform Engineer your job will include developing, enhancing and maintaining a cutting edge infrastructure platform while providing expertise in the full software development lifecycle, from concept and design to testing. Work is challenging, non-standard and highly complex and you will be expected to work on multiple projects simultaneously 🤝
✅ Requirements:
Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes (cluster operations, workloads, networking, storage)
Proficiency with container technologies such as Docker or OCI-compatible runtimes
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, or equivalent)
Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, Pulumi, etc.)
Strong scripting and automation skills (e.g., Go, Python, Bash)
Experience building and operating CI/CD pipelinesC
Solid understanding of distributed systems, networking, and Linux fundamentals
Experience designing highly available and scalable systems
Strong troubleshooting and incident response skills
✅ Responsibilities:
Design and develop a Kubernetes-based infrastructure platform that supports application deployment, scaling, networking, and observabilityB
Build reusable platform components, abstractions, and APIs to simplify application onboarding and operations
Define and maintain multi-tenant Kubernetes architectures with strong isolation, security, and governance
Deploy, operate, and upgrade Kubernetes clusters (managed or self-hosted)
Implement cluster lifecycle management, including provisioning, scaling, upgrades, and disaster recovery
Optimize cluster performance, availability, and cost
Automate infrastructure and platform services using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Pulumi, or CloudFormation
Build CI/CD pipelines for platform components and cluster workloads
Implement GitOps workflows using tools such as Argo CD or Flux
Implement platform-level observability (metrics, logging, tracing) using tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, or similar
Define SLOs, SLIs, and error budgets for platform services
Apply Kubernetes security best practices, including RBAC, network policies, secrets management, and pod security standards
