Full-Stack Mobile Engineer (iOS, Android & Spring Boot)

📍 Location: 100% Remote
⏳ Engagement: Part-time (50% FTE)

We are looking for a Full-Stack Mobile Engineer to support the maintenance and incremental development of a production mobile solution covering native iOS, native Android, and Spring Boot backend services.

The project requires a hands-on engineer who can work across the mobile ecosystem, troubleshoot production issues, deliver improvements, manage mobile application releases, and support the evolution of secure and reliable mobile applications.

Requirements:

Mobile Development (iOS & Android):

• 3+ years of commercial experience in iOS development using Swift and UIKit

• 3+ years of commercial experience in Android development using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose

• Strong understanding of native mobile application development across both platforms

• Strong knowledge of UIKit, Storyboard-based applications, and Jetpack Compose

• Experience with mobile platform security mechanisms, including iOS Keychain and Android KeyStore

• Experience ensuring mobile application compatibility with new operating system releases

Mobile Application Releases & Delivery:

• Hands-on experience managing mobile application releases end-to-end

• Experience with App Store release processes, including certificates, provisioning profiles, TestFlight, and publication

• Experience managing Google Play releases and application publishing processes

• Familiarity with mobile CI/CD pipelines, release automation, and device compatibility testing

Backend & API Integration:

• Experience working with existing Spring Boot applications (Java 17)

• Ability to analyze, debug, and modify existing backend services

• Understanding of REST APIs and API integrations

• Experience working with PostgreSQL

• Familiarity with Spring Security

Security & Authentication:

• Practical knowledge of mobile application security best practices

• Understanding of cryptographic key management and secure authentication mechanisms

• Experience with RSA-based authentication

• Knowledge of secure API communication patterns

• Understanding of token lifecycle and session management

Production Support & Collaboration:

• Experience working with production applications and resolving live issues

• Experience participating in incident analysis, root cause investigations, and resolution activities

• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional engineering and delivery teams in an Enhance & Operate model

Nice to have:

• Working knowledge of AWS services, including:

  • EC2

  • RDS

  • S3

  • CloudWatch

  • WAF

• Additional experience with security and authentication solutions

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and enhance native mobile applications for iOS and Android.

• Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues. 

• Implement minor feature enhancements and improvements.

• Ensure compatibility with new mobile operating system releases.

• Manage App Store and Google Play release processes.

• Support and maintain the Spring Boot backend.

• Participate in incident analysis, root cause investigations, and resolution activities.

• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering and delivery teams in an Enhance & Operate model.
