AI Research Engineer

In this role, you will be responsible for identifying, exploring, and validating cutting-edge AI technologies that can be applied to real-world B2B eCommerce challenges. You will build prototypes, run experiments, and evaluate feasibility. Working closely with the AI Tech Lead and software engineers, you will help transition promising ideas from research into production-ready solutions.

What you'll do:

• Continuously monitor the AI ecosystem to identify innovations

• Design and run experiments to evaluate the capabilities, limits, and trade-offs of new models, tools, and approaches

• Develop PoCs and prototypes to test new ideas quickly and communicate findings effectively

• Collaborate with Tech Leads and Software Engineers to prepare successful prototypes for production integration

• Provide technical recommendations on model and infrastructure choices based on empirical results

• Contribute to prompt engineering, prompt chaining, and RAG setup exploration

• Help define success metrics for AI-driven features in collaboration with product and engineering teams

  
  

Skills you have:

• Solid programming experience (preferable Python) and experience working in notebooks and experimental environments

• Deep understanding of LLMs and prompt engineering best practices

• Experience working with LangChain, LangGraph, or similar frameworks for LLM application prototyping

• Ability to define and test hypotheses in a structured and reproducible way

• Strong analytical skills, with attention to technical detail and clarity

• Ability to translate complex research outcomes into actionable insights for engineers and product teams

• Intermediate or higher level of spoken and written English for day-to-day communication
