Cybersecurity R&D Expert

Location: Warsaw

Work model: hybrid 

Orange Polska is looking for candidates for the position of Cybersecurity R&D Expert. You will be responsible for leading and carrying out complex research, conducting analysis, proposing new research directions, developing new concepts and sharing your knowledge with other experts.

For this position we have a strong preference for a hybrid (from one of our Polish offices) work model, but remote work (from within Poland only) is also possible. Fluency in Polish language is a hard requirement.

Your duties:

• Leading and carrying out research works in international projects 

• Conducting research in the areas of:

• Cybersecurity (nice to have experience in post-quantum field: Quantum Key Distribution and/or Post-Quantum Cryptography),

• Network, cloud and application security,

• Service security management,

• Security monitoring,

• Service infrastructure security,

• Other technologies that can be applied to cybersecurity assurance.

• Conducting state-of-the-art analysis and identification of needs, opportunities and research directions in the area of cyber security

• Proposing new research areas and envisioning concepts of new solutions

• Developing concepts of new technological solutions in the area of cybersecurity and evaluating them in laboratory environment (Proof of Concept) 

• Decomposition and planning of research tasks

• Sharing knowledge, participation in scientific conferences, preparation of publications, analytical and informational materials and presentation of results

• Cooperation with other units and project teams

Our requirements:

• Knowledge of cybersecurity of ICT systems

• Research background in the field of cybersecurity or other related technical areas

• Experience in research and development projects carried out in the form of competitions financed by international or national organizations, e.g. the European Union or the National Center for Research and Development (NCBiR)

• Knowledge architecture of cloud solutions based on virtualization and containerization (Kubernetes) and issues related to monitoring these environments 

• Experience in the implementation of Proof of Concepts in virtualized environments 

• Fluent Polish and communicative English
