Azure DevOps Engineer – Platform Development
📍 Hybrid in Warsaw (3 days/week onsite required) | 💼 Full-time | B2B contract up to $6,000/month
About the Role
Our client is a US-based technology company headquartered in New York City, delivering digital solutions and consulting services that transform businesses and drive measurable value. With offices in multiple countries, the company is now investing in a new engineering centre in Warsaw, recognizing the strong talent and culture of Polish software professionals.
As an Azure DevOps Engineer, you will play a key role in building and maintaining scalable, reliable, and secure cloud-native platforms. This is a hands-on role requiring deep expertise in Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and cloud automation. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams across engineering, QA, and operations to ensure high-quality, fast, and secure delivery processes.
This is a hybrid role. You will be expected to work from the Warsaw office at least 3 days per week.
Key Responsibilities
Manage deployment and release pipelines using Azure DevOps, ensuring traceability, stability, and rollback capabilities
Collaborate with development and QA teams to streamline CI/CD pipeline integration
Troubleshoot issues across application and infrastructure layers in Azure environments
Design and implement automated deployments, DR strategies, scalability plans, and system backups
Implement observability tools and improve productivity across dev/prod environments
Provision and manage infrastructure using Terraform
Monitor system health and performance using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Application Insights, and ELK
Set up and maintain centralized logging with Azure and open-source stacks (ELK/EFK)
Mentor junior DevOps engineers in best practices and technical troubleshooting
Support diverse technology stacks: .NET, Node.js, Java, Python
Key Requirements
4–6 years of experience in a DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) role with strong focus on Azure
Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps for release management and CI/CD pipelines
Proficiency in infrastructure as code tools: Terraform, ARM/Bicep, or Pulumi
Experience with Docker, Kubernetes (AKS), and Helm
Strong scripting skills in PowerShell, Bash, or Python
Familiarity with key Azure services (e.g., App Services, Functions, Key Vault, VNETs, Load Balancer, SQL, Redis, Storage)
Experience with monitoring/logging tools: Azure Monitor, ELK, Application Insights
Experience managing servers (IIS, Nginx, Apache) and databases (Azure SQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB)
Solid understanding of release cycles and deployment automation for modern tech stacks
Excellent analytical and debugging skills
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
Strong communication skills and a proactive, self-driven attitude
