📍 Hybrid in Warsaw (3 days/week onsite required) | 💼 Full-time | Employment contract up to $8 700 /month

Our client is a US-based technology company headquartered in New York City, delivering digital solutions and consulting services that transform businesses and drive measurable value. With offices in multiple countries, the company is now investing in a new engineering centre in Warsaw, recognizing the strong talent and culture of Polish software professionals.

Their integrated ecosystem combines:

  • PaaS (Platform as a Service): an AI-native enterprise operations foundation built to optimize workflows, surface insights, and accelerate value creation across portfolios.

  • SaaS (Software as a Service): a cloud platform delivering unmatched performance, intelligence, and execution at scale.

  • S&C (Solutions & Consulting Suite): modular technology playbooks designed to manage, grow, and optimize company performance.

With over a decade of experience supporting high-growth companies and private equity-backed platforms, the company brings deep domain expertise and a proven ability to turn technology into a strategic advantage.

About the Role

We are looking for a DevOps Lead to own and scale cloud infrastructure, automation practices, and reliability engineering efforts. In this role, you will provide technical leadership, set the DevOps strategy, and mentor a team of engineers—while remaining hands-on with infrastructure automation, CI/CD, and observability. You will partner closely with product, engineering, and operations to deliver reliable, scalable, and efficient systems across multiple cloud providers.

Responsibilities

Technical Leadership & Strategy

  • Define and drive the overall DevOps and SRE roadmap aligned with business objectives.

  • Mentor and guide DevOps engineers in automation, CI/CD best practices, and monitoring.

  • Establish standards for cloud operations, security, and cost optimization.

Infrastructure Automation & Cloud Management

  • Architect and maintain infrastructure-as-code (Terraform) for AWS, GCP, and Azure.

  • Design and execute multi-cloud strategies to improve availability and resilience.

  • Oversee containerization strategies using Docker, Helm, ECS, and Kubernetes.

Release & Deployment Management

  • Own CI/CD pipeline architecture (AWS CodePipeline, Jenkins, etc.).

  • Implement governance, approval, and rollback strategies for deployments.

  • Work with engineering teams to reduce lead time and downtime.

Observability & Site Reliability

  • Lead observability solutions (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, New Relic, etc.).

  • Define SLAs, SLOs, and SLIs in collaboration with leadership.

  • Build site reliability frameworks, including on-call rotations and incident reviews.

Collaboration & Influence

  • Partner with engineering and architecture teams to embed DevOps practices.

  • Advocate for a culture of automation, reliability, and continuous improvement.

  • Communicate initiatives and metrics to leadership.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience leading DevOps or SRE teams delivering reliable systems.

  • Expertise with Terraform and infrastructure-as-code methodologies.

  • Multi-cloud knowledge (AWS, GCP, Azure) with focus on resilience and cost optimization.

  • Advanced experience with containerization (Docker, Helm, ECS; Kubernetes a plus).

  • Strong background in CI/CD pipeline design (AWS CodePipeline, Jenkins, GitHub Actions).

  • Proficiency with observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Datadog, New Relic).

  • Understanding of SRE principles (error budgets, incident response, postmortems).

  • Strong scripting/programming ability (Python, Bash, Go, etc.).

  • Excellent communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Pluses:

  • Experience scaling DevOps teams and managing vendor/tooling evaluations.

  • Kubernetes leadership experience (EKS, GKE, AKS).

  • Security automation, compliance, and governance expertise.

  • Previous experience in high-growth or multi-cloud environments.

What’s Offered

  • Employment contract (UoP) with monthly compensation up to $8 700

  • Career growth opportunities in a global fintech environment

  • High-impact projects in a fast-growing sector

  • Friendly, open, and ambitious team culture

  • Hybrid model – minimum 3 days/week in the Warsaw office (city centre location)
