About Opendoor

Founded in 2014, Opendoor's mission is to empower everyone with the freedom to move. We believe the traditional real estate process is broken and our goal is simple: build a digital, end-to-end customer experience that makes buying and selling a home simple, certain and fast. We have assembled a dedicated team with diverse backgrounds to support more than 100,000 homes bought and sold with us and the customers who have selected Opendoor as a trusted partner in handling one of their largest financial transactions. But the work is far from over as we continue to grow in new markets. Transforming the real estate industry takes tenacity and dedication. It takes problem solvers and builders. It takes a tight knit community of teammates doing the best work of their lives, pushing one another to transform a complicated process into a simple one. So where do you fit in? Whether you're passionate about real estate, people, numbers, words, code, or strategy - we have a place for you. Real estate is broken. Come help us fix it.

About the Team

At our core, we build complex, large-scale distributed systems that orchestrate the end-to-end real estate transaction lifecycle for customers. As an engineer on this team, you’ll work on impactful products and help shape our foundational cloud computing platform that’s transforming the real estate industry.

We’re looking for a driven Software Engineer who has solid technical depth and hands-on experience with modern tools and practices. You’ll roll up your sleeves to design and code for infrastructure, applications, and processes - helping to ensure our systems are scalable, reliable, and secure. If you thrive in small, cross-functional teams, love moving fast, and take ownership of your goals, and if you’re passionate about creating outstanding applications that delight customers, we’d love to hear from you.

We empower our team to make courageous decisions to serve our customers. You'll be a builder who maintains high standards and embraces big ideas.

Here’s what you’ll be up to:

  • Deliver impactful features that align with team goals and clearly demonstrate business value - quantifying and communicating how your work moves the needle.
  • Design, develop, and maintain code with guidance from more experienced teammates, focusing on clarity, test coverage, and incremental improvements.
  • Improve development tools and workflows to make life easier for everyone, always aiming to leave the codebase better than you found it.
  • Extend or refine existing systems when possible, breaking down complex tasks into well-scoped milestones.
  • Own your code end-to-end, including fixes and enhancements, while proactively identifying and addressing technical debt.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to clarify requirements, debate potential solutions, and ensure the team moves forward effectively.
  • Provide and receive thoughtful feedback through code reviews and open discussions - contributing to an environment where everyone can grow.

We’re looking for someone who has:

  • 2+ years of commercial experience as a Software Development Engineer
  • Solid proficiency in at least one modern programming language (e.g., Go, Python, Ruby, C++, etc.).
  • Exposure to databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) or data stores (Elasticsearch, Redis).
  • Good understanding of app performance, monitoring, and optimization
  • Experience with tooling and building pipelines on modern CI platforms is a plus
  • Experience working with public cloud providers ( AWS / GCP) is a plus
  • Solid Computer Science fundamentals, including object-oriented design, data structures, and algorithm design
  • A self-starter mentality with an operational focus - a natural problem-solver

Here’s the Deal:

  • Work in the city center in a fun, non-corporate environment
  • Competitive compensation package that includes - a monthly base salary from 16k PLN to 23k PLN, plus RSUs and annual bonus
  • Choose the contract type that suits you best (employment or B2B)
  • Enjoy 26 days of paid holiday on a B2B contract
  • Private medical healthcare
  • MultiKafeteria perks for sports, movies, and shopping vouchers
4 370 - 6 282 USD/month

Net per month - B2B

4 370 - 6 282 USD/month

Gross per month - Permanent
