Data Engineer

Job Summary
The Data Engineer will help us build and maintain infrastructure for OEC Catalogue data. You will be responsible for managing data systems and ensuring information accuracy to support business operations and requirements. This position will work closely with OEC engineers to maintain database safety and security, preventing unauthorized access and potential data leaks.
What You’ll Accomplish
Develop and maintain OEC parts catalogue data.
Build pipelines to extract data from sources.
Build and maintain datasets to support Business and Product needs.
Analyze data in case of errors or mismatches.
Collaborate with Product teams and Analysts to resolve data issues.
Build and maintain our data architecture by staging, transforming, and finalizing datasets that meet high quality standards through both out-of-the-box and custom testing, as well as QA processes, ensuring they are used across the organization.
Develop and document this central source of truth for OEC and support our internal digital transformation.
Who You Are
You have 2+ years of experience in data processing.
You have strong proven track record of developing and testing database scripts, stored procedures, triggers, functions (T-SQL), SSIS packages, and other back-end processes supporting system integration. In other words, you have strong SQL skills.
Strong proficiency in Python (Spark) and data visualization tools.
You enjoy critical thinking and apply data-oriented, systematic approaches to solving problems.
You are articulate, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
You can work independently in a fast-paced environment.
You pride yourself on being tech-savvy and learn new processes and software tools quickly.
You are highly detail-oriented and organized.
Nice to Have
Experience developing and deploying systems supporting business intelligence, reporting, and data warehouse solutions using AWS cloud platforms.
Experience implementing robust user access controls and data security measures across cloud environments.
This is a hybrid role, working from the OEC Cracow office about 1 day a month is required.
