About this opportunity
About two years ago Nordea bought Gjensidige bank – smaller institution with which we wanted to use effect of scale. Now it’s the time to fully integrate it into Nordea infrastructure. There are a lot of systems and sidesystems so position, and the backlog itself, is long-term. Initiative if well established and we already have development team in place. Now we’re looking for one more person to strenghten the technical setup.
What you’ll be doing:
- Help build architecture roadmap for the project
- Develop new features in Back-end applications
- Tightly cooperate with our stakeholders within all areas of development
- Support our stakeholders during releases
- Maintain existing applications
- Perform regular code reviews and commit the code on a daily basis
- Create Nordea wide coding standards and software practices
The role is based in Gdynia.

Your experience and background:
- Good JAVA experience with Spring development
- Understanding of release process, SDLC and “big picture” in it
- Experience with Web Services, REST, REST API’s
- Knowledge of Design Patterns like Clean Code, SOLID, KISS & GRASP
- Tools: SonarQube, Bamboo/Jenkins, GIT, BitBucket, Maven
- Suberb communication skills and willingness to take the lead!
- Fluent English
