QA automation engineer | Mid-senior

The Infrastructure department is responsible for influencing and tracking change, providing frontline support, and delivering software-defined solutions.

You will be member of Low Level Team for NordVPN product. We are building common cross-platform components. Our code is shipped to Widows/Apple/Android and Linux platforms. Your main task will be improving automation of the release processes with main focus to the quality assurance. We believe that perfect candidate is one of System Administrator, Network Administrator, Software Engineer or QA engineer.

Main Responsibilities

• Design, execute, and automate E2E tests;
• Lead end-to-end testing strategies to ensure comprehensive coverage;
• Improve and extend the existing test framework;
• Perform functional and non-functional testing to validate application functionalities;
• Develop and implement a quality improvement strategy, taking ownership of quality assurance efforts;
• Implement solution recipes and frameworks for test automation, infrastructure monitoring and release engineering;
• Automate CI/CD pipelines;Advocate and help adopting and improving CI/CD practices;
• Develop and improve CI/CD pipelines and processes;
• Maintain and evolve policies and standards;
• Contribute to the technical tasks, feedback forms, technical interviews;
• Maintain and scale dynamic testing, integration, and test environments.

Core Requirements

• 2+ years of QA experience;
• QA automation experience;
• Proficiency with scripting languages like Python/bash/PowerShell;
• GitHub/GitLab experience;
• Containers/VMs experience;
• Package management and build system knowledge;
• Good understanding of Linux operating systems;
• Province with computer networks;
• Familiar with testing theory;
• Proactive mindset with a focus on improvement;
• Deep analytical and problem-solving skills;
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
