Full-Stack Engineer (NXJ-137)

We’re looking for a Full-Stack Engineer to join our client’s team building an AI-powered platform for TV production — from script to screen.

In this role, you’ll work on the core tools used by producers and writers, including script editing, storyboarding, and video timeline workflows, while helping integrate AI capabilities such as script generation, media creation, and voice synthesis.

You’ll contribute across the full stack — from interactive frontend components to backend APIs, data models, and cloud infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Integral Builder: You’ll be a key part of building Kagami Studio — an AI-powered production platform for creating TV shows, from script to screen

• Fullstack Delivery: Develop and deliver production-grade web applications using React, Next.js (App Router), and Node.js with TypeScript, working across both frontend UIs and backend API routes

• Creative Tooling: Build and maintain rich, interactive editors — including a script editor, storyboard canvas, and video timeline editor — that form the creative core of the platform

• AI Orchestration: Integrate and orchestrate AI services (OpenAI, xAI/Grok, ElevenLabs) to power script generation, image/video generation, and text-to-speech features through our custom GenAI pipeline

• Media Engineering: Work with WebCodecs, mp4-muxer, and client-side video/audio processing to deliver in-browser media encoding and export capabilities

• Azure Infrastructure: Build and maintain Azure integrations (Blob Storage, Service Bus, Azure SQL, App Service) for media storage, asynchronous task execution, and robust data management

What you’ll need

• 3+ years of hands-on experience in fullstack web development, with strong frontend skills and deep proficiency in TypeScript

• Modern Frontend: Expertise in React and Next.js (App Router); experience with state management (Zustand, React Context) and modern styling (Tailwind CSS, Radix UI)

• Backend & Data: Solid experience with Node.js, building REST APIs and handling complex data modeling with Azure SQL and relational databases

• Cloud Proficiency: Proven experience working with Azure cloud services (Blob Storage for media, Service Bus for messaging, and Azure Functions/App Service)

• AI Integration: Comfort working with AI/LLM APIs (OpenAI, streaming responses, tool-use patterns) and integrating them into product features

• Complex UIs: Experience building interactive components — rich text editors, drag-and-drop interfaces, or canvas-based tools

• Communication: Excellent communication skills and a proactive, learning-driven mindset

Nice to have

• Experience with WebCodecs, mp4-muxer, or client-side video/audio encoding

• Familiarity with text-to-speech APIs (ElevenLabs) or voice synthesis

• Experience with Lexical (rich text framework) or similar block-based editors

• Background in media production, entertainment tech, or creative tooling
