Nevion is currently expanding its Professional Services Team and is seeking a Python Developer to work as part of our delivery team based in one of our offices.
We are seeking a self-starter who can work independently within a team setting and is experienced at independently solving problems.
This is a unique opportunity where you will primarily be working with international customers.
- Developing & designing software in following areas:
- Automated configuration
- Automated deployment
- Custom monitoring & troubleshooting
- Process automation & custom features
- Documenting changes in the product and tool chain
- Looking for areas to improve practices, processes & tools
- Developing unit tests, following code quality and style guidelines
- Fixing bugs found internally and from customer report
- Extending & maintaining DevOps pipelines
- Providing customer & internal technical training and support for tools developed by the team
- The successful candidate will have a technical university degree or equivalent experience within IT.
- Strong Python knowledge (required)
- Preferably, with understanding of following technical areas:
- TCP/IP networking, SDN concepts
- REST APIs
- Software testing principles
- Software design patterns
- Agile / Scrum Development Methods
- Linux OS configuration
- Interest in audio and video, telecommunications or broadcasting
- Interest in Web app development
- Knowledge of DevOps concepts & tools
- Very good English language skills (English is the official working language)
- Excellent troubleshooting skills
- Able to perform tasks independently
