Regular Python Developer

Nevion is currently expanding its Professional Services Team and is seeking a Python Developer to work as part of our delivery team based in one of our offices.

We are seeking a self-starter who can work independently within a team setting and is experienced at independently solving problems.

This is a unique opportunity where you will primarily be working with international customers.

Job description

•  Developing & designing software in following areas:
•  Automated configuration
•  Automated deployment
•  Custom monitoring & troubleshooting
•  Process automation & custom features
•  Documenting changes in the product and tool chain
•  Looking for areas to improve practices, processes & tools
•  Developing unit tests, following code quality and style guidelines
•  Fixing bugs found internally and from customer report
•  Extending & maintaining DevOps pipelines
•  Providing customer & internal technical training and support for tools developed by the team

Technical qualifications

• The successful candidate will have a technical university degree or equivalent experience within IT.
•  Strong Python knowledge (required)
• Preferably, with understanding of following technical areas:
•  TCP/IP networking, SDN concepts
•  REST APIs
•  Software testing principles
•  Software design patterns
•  Agile / Scrum Development Methods
•  Linux OS configuration
•  Interest in audio and video, telecommunications or broadcasting
•  Interest in Web app development
• Knowledge of DevOps concepts & tools

Personal qualifications

•  Very good English language skills (English is the official working language)
•  Excellent troubleshooting skills
•  Able to perform tasks independently
•  Flexible team player
•  Solution oriented, systematic
•  Excellent communications skills
•  Ability to identify problems, acquire ownership and deliver solutions at a high level of customer satisfaction
