We are looking for a Senior Workday Developer/Analyst you will own end-to-end solution design and architecture across Workday HCM Security. You will partner with HR stakeholders, translate business needs into secure Workday configurations, and ensure that access, controls, and governance frameworks are scalable, compliant, and audit-ready. This is a hands-on specialist role with strong ownership of Workday security design, configuration, controls, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities:

Workday Security Configuration

  • Lead security solution design across Workday modules, including Core HCM, Compensation, Benefits, Absence, Recruiting, Talent, and Payroll modules.

  • Partner with HR teams to translate business requirements into scalable and compliant Workday security configurations.

  • Design, develop, and support Workday Security functionality, including security groups, user-based and role-based assignments, domain security, authentication, and proxy policies.

  • Follow the SDLC framework for enhancements, projects, testing, and deployment activities.

Security Architecture & Governance

  • Own security governance frameworks for access management, role rationalization, and audit readiness.

  • Conduct regular Workday access audits to ensure accuracy, compliance, and appropriate segregation of duties.

  • Respond to security audit requests in cooperation with HR, HR Risk, leadership, and other internal stakeholders.

  • Conduct security impact assessments for releases, enhancements, regulatory changes, and process updates.

Continuous Improvement

  • Identify and drive improvements in current Workday security processes, controls, and governance practices.

  • Actively pursue innovative initiatives that improve system efficiency, compliance, and user experience.

  • Strengthen documentation and repeatable practices for Workday Security configuration and support.

  • Support scalable solutions that balance business needs, operational efficiency, and risk management.

Stakeholder Partnership

  • Act as the Workday Security subject matter expert for internal teams and business stakeholders.

  • Provide guidance and knowledge-sharing to the internal Workday Security team.

  • Bridge HR business requirements with technical delivery, ensuring clear communication and practical solution design.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams in a regulated, compliance-driven environment.

Requirements:

Workday Security Expertise

  • 4+ years of hands-on experience with Workday HCM Security.

  • Strong experience designing and supporting Workday security configurations.

  • Practical knowledge of security groups, domain security, role-based access, authentication policies, and proxy access.

Governance & Compliance

  • Experience in data governance and security best practices.

  • Experience operating in regulated or compliance-driven environments.

  • Strong understanding of HR processes, procedures, and access-control requirements.

  • Ability to support audit readiness, access reviews, and security control improvements.

Collaboration & Mindset

  • Ability to translate HR business requirements into scalable Workday security solutions.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.

  • Comfortable working with HR, risk, leadership, and technical delivery teams.

  • Ownership mindset with the ability to manage priorities in a structured, process-driven environment.
