    • Develop and implement data pipelines to streamline data ingestion, cleaning, and transformation processes.
    • Lead the design and development of complex software systems, ensuring robustness, scalability, and security.
    • Drive the adoption of best practices in code health, testing, and maintainability while mentoring a technical team.
    • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including data management, clinical operations, and external vendors, to create a cohesive technical strategy for Moderna.

    Your responsibilities will also include:

    • Ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and best practices in data security.
    • Promoting a culture of learning, continuous improvement, and technical excellence within the engineering team.
    • Overseeing system designs within the broader scope, making well-supported tradeoffs in complex situations.
    • Serving as a technical adviser at both Director and VP levels, providing architectural guidance and driving strategic roadmaps for long-term technical vision.

The key Moderna Mindsets you’ll need to succeed in the role:

    • Digitize Everywhere Possible: You will champion the integration of AI and digital tools in the clinical data ecosystem, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.
    • Act with Urgency: Your leadership will be critical in fast-tracking innovations and solutions in clinical development, reflecting Moderna’s mission to advance mRNA medicines quickly and effectively.

    Here’s What You’ll Need:

    • Minimum 10 years of experience in software development or 10 years with an advanced degree.
    • 6-8 years of experience in leading API-first infrastructure software development efforts, from design to troubleshooting.
    • 5+ years experience leading technical teams and implementing engineering products at an executive level within multinational organizations.

Here’s What You’ll Bring to the Table:

    • Experience with Responsible AI.
    • Experience with working with stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into technical requirements.
