EMEA IT Infrastructure Solutions Architect

Location: Warsaw preferredTeam: Newly formed EMEA Data Centre Platform Team, supporting 6 regional data centers.

Role Overview

• Design, implement, and support scalable, secure, and efficient IT infrastructure (networks, servers, storage) for MetLife’s EMEA data centers.

• Drive transformation to a unified, global operating model for improved collaboration and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain architectural blueprints.

• Evaluate and integrate new technologies.

• Lead infrastructure projects from start to finish.

• Implement security policies and ensure regulatory compliance.

• Monitor performance and optimize systems.

• Collaborate with business and IT teams.

• Maintain documentation and standards.

• Lead disaster recovery and business continuity planning.

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years in a similar role.

• Strong technical expertise in system administration, networking, cloud, and architecture principles.

• Analytical, communication, and leadership skills.

• Experience with micro-segmentation, global teams, and hands-on collaboration.

• Cisco Networking

• Arista Networking (Desirable)

• VMware Virtualisation

• SAN (Storage)

• Fabric Switching

• Citrix

• Netscaler Load Balancing and Access Gateway

• Data Centre Rack design (Power requirements etc)

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of replication technologies, Arista/Cisco networks, Linux tools, databases (Apache, Tomcat, HTTP, Oracle, MySQL).

• Experience with Agile, hyperconverged systems (VxRail), storage/backup technologies, cloud backup, and AS400 systems.
