About us
Memory Squared is a boutique software company that designs and builds apps, websites, e-commerce solutions, and games to empower brands and make humans happy. We develop digital products for startups, organisations and brands from all over the world, delivering not only technology but also product design and strategy.
We’re working on-site from our cosy Krakow office or in hybrid mode. Remote work is also possible, but a presence in Krakow every few weeks is welcome as we’re a small team, and every member is involved in the company’s life and development so there is no better way to align than having a coffee together.
The Role
As a growing company that calls itself “design-driven”, we’re looking for a talented individual who can support our design challenges across multiple products - from greenfield, early-stage startups to extending features in complex custom B2B platforms - and join our cross-functional team as a versatile fullstack UX/UI Designer.
You’ll be supported by experienced specialists in design, product management, and development, providing you with a collaborative environment to excel.
As we’re in a growth stage, a lot is happening and we expect you to confidently and swiftly take responsibility for design tasks, including collaboration with the internal team and stakeholders on the client’s side.
What you will do:
- Research, ideate, and design effective UI and interactions for web and mobile applications
- Leverage existing design systems (either in-house or third-party like Minimal UI) and build custom, organic, and modular design libraries
- Collaborate with stakeholders, product owner, designers, and developers to evaluate functional requirements and translate them into user experience designs
- Evaluate complex processes and workflows to identify opportunities for improvement and optimization
- Oversee project implementation and provide quality assurance from the design perspective
- Communicate effectively with clients, team members, and stakeholders to align on project goals and progress
Requirements
- Proven commercial experience as UX, UI (or both) - at least 2 years
- Portfolio of projects presenting both UI design skills and UX challenges. We don’t expect overtalked, broad projects with AI-generated descriptions - we appreciate down-to-earth examples of regular design challenges and how you solved them.
- Very good Figma expertise with a deep understanding of autolayouts, components, and variables.
- Strong empathy and problem-solving abilities, and an aptitude for ideating user-centric solutions.
- Good verbal and written communication skills in English and Polish to cooperate with international clients and internal teams
Nice to have:
- Technical knowledge to facilitate discussions with development teams
- UX Research familiarity
The offer
- Full-time B2B contract with fully paid days off
- Meaningful position with a direct impact on products
- Hybrid model, with flexibility regarding days in office
- Well-located office in Krakow, Podgórze, with good coffee and nice dogs on board
- An open and appreciative organisational culture based on trust and respecting work-life balance
- Gear including Macbook Pro
