Job description

At Medius, we believe finance should empower strategy, not stress. Founded in Sweden in 2001, we’ve grown from a local startup into a global leader in cloud-based spend management. Thousands of organizations trust our AI-powered solutions to simplify processes, eliminate manual work, and give finance teams clarity, confidence, and control

We’re more than a software company – we’re a global team of problem-solvers and innovators reinventing accounts payable. Our culture thrives on freedom, curiosity, and continuous improvement, giving you space to focus on what matters – and still have time to live your best life.

If you want to make a real impact, see your ideas come to life, and shape the future of finance, Medius is the place for you.

We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to join our Kraków team and take ownership of our cloud infrastructure's day-to-day excellence. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing our Microsoft Azure environment, ensuring it remains performant, secure, and ready for large-scale workloads. Success in this position means being a self-sufficient contributor who can independently manage CI/CD pipelines, automate infrastructure tasks, and actively use AI-driven tools to increase operational efficiency.

What you'll do:

  • Maintain and optimize Microsoft Azure resources, ensuring they meet company standards for performance, security, and cost-effectiveness.

  • Own and evolve Infrastructure as Code using Bicep and/or Terraform with automated linting, security scanning and CI validation.

  • Build and maintain CI/CD, take ownership of deployment pipelines, ensuring that software releases are automated, monitored, and stable.

  • Implement AI-Powered automation, use AI assistants (e.g., GitHub Copilot, LLM-based scripting) to automate repetitive tasks, improve code quality, and accelerate documentation workflows.

  • Monitor application and infrastructure health, taking the lead on diagnosing and resolving technical issues in both Windows and Linux environments.

  • Manage containerized workloads - Docker images (Windows/Linux), Azure Kubernetes Service clusters, Azure Container Registry.

  • Working with development teams to implement Azure best practices and ensure project KPIs and security controls are met.

  • Support security operations by configuring proactive defences and continuous monitoring to mitigate potential threats.

  • Regularly review cloud usage to identify areas where automation or configuration changes can bring long-term value to the organization.

  • Drive automation-first culture using Powershell

Qualifications

  • Experience: 3–5 years of experience in DevOps, System Administration, or Cloud Engineering, with a solid track record in Microsoft Azure.

  • Technical skills: proficiency in scripting and programming (PowerShell, Python, or C#) with a strong preference for automation over manual work.

  • Cloud knowledge: solid understanding of Azure services, networking, and cloud security best practices.

  • Tooling proficiency: practical experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Azure DevOps Pipelines, GitHub Actions) and hands-on experience with Docker - Azure Container Instances, Azure Container Apps, Kubernetes (AKS) and container registries (ACR).

  • AI Integration: active interest and experience in using AI tools to enhance daily engineering tasks and work-flow automation.

  • Platform: comfortable working across both Windows and Linux environments.

  • Problem-solving: strong analytical skills with the ability to work through complex technical challenges independently.

  • Education: degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent technical certifications.

  • Communication: clear English communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective collaboration in a technical environment.

Why Medius

  • Well-being perks: Multikafeteria program, private healthcare (LuxMed), life insurance

  • Fun & connection: Summer & Christmas parties, Game Board nights, spontaneous team events

  • Growth & impact: Be part of a team where your ideas matter, innovation thrives, and your work is visible globally
