Junior QA Specialist

We are not looking for another ordinary bug finder, we are looking for a new valuable member of our team who is way more than just a tester.

Our tech stack is built around React, React Native, Node.js, and TypeScript. We are working with startups in their early stages (MVPs), which makes the job full of diverse and exciting challenges while crafting innovative solutions. We are focusing mostly on manual testing with the priority set on API, acceptance and end-to-end testing.

You must be quality-oriented and willing to act! At this point, you don’t have to be the absolute best, but gathering knowledge should be your day-to-day focus ;)

1. Required skills: 3-9 months of commercial experience, knowledge of Agile Software Development Life Cycle, experience in exploratory tests
2. Offer: B2B/UZL, paid days off, 100% remote (or hybrid/onsite - as you prefer), Polish time zone, flexible hours, full-time position, long-term contract, Scrum Teams
3. Tools you’ll use: Slack, GSuite, DevTools, Jira, Postman/Altair GraphQL, Miro and Figma, Coda.io and GitHub, BrowserStack, Apple MacBook Pro

Your future tasks and duties:

1. Participating in the design and implementation of modern business applications for external clients
2. ​​Manual testing, building test scenarios, test cases, user scenarios, and bug reporting
3. Working closely with Developers, Scrum Master, Proxy Product Owner, and Product Designers to assure high quality
4. Focusing on quality-oriented rather than defect-oriented testing
5. Executing test cases with high precision and detail, diligently checking each step and documenting differences

About you - Tech skills & Experience:

1. 3-9 months of commercial experience in manual testing
2. Experience in exploratory tests
3. SQL basics, familiarity with relational databases
4. Know the basics of Jira or similar (ticket difference, ticket-flow per project)
5. Basic knowledge about API
6. Basic knowledge about dev-tools in browsers

About you - Soft Skills:

1. Good command of English (B2), excellent command of Polish (C1) is required
2. Knowledge hungry - with eagerness to learn and taking on challenges
3. Detail-oriented and quality-centered approach to software development
4. Familiarity with Scrum and Agile methodologies
5. Problem-solving way of thinking
6. Solid communication skills and not being afraid to challenge the status quo
7. Open-minded to new ideas and perspectives
8. Being aware of your strengths, weaknesses, and areas for improvements
9. Actively seeking solutions and trying to figure things out on your own, but not being afraid to ask for help when needed

Nice to have:

1. ISEB/ISTQB certificate
2. Ability to spot UI/UX imperfections or flaws
3. Experience in cooperation with the client
