We are looking for a Senior Systems Engineer to support an enterprise-grade, multi-cloud platform in the payments and financial services domain. This is a role in a globally distributed environment where reliability, security, and availability are critical.

You will work primarily across AWS and GCP, with strong emphasis on Infrastructure as Code, automation, and production operations.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure on AWS and GCP

• Build and manage Infrastructure as Code using Terraform

• Develop and maintain Ansible playbooks for configuration and automation

• Support Kubernetes-based environments and containerised workloads

• Design and manage networking components: VPCs, subnets, load balancers, connectivity

• Implement security controls, access management, and compliance configurations

• Monitor infrastructure, optimise performance and cost, and improve reliability

• Automate operational tasks using scripting and tooling

• Support incident response and troubleshoot production issues

• Maintain technical documentation and operational runbooks

What we are looking for

• Strong hands-on experience as a Systems Engineer / Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

• Commercial experience with AWS and GCP

• Advanced knowledge of Terraform and Infrastructure as Code best practices

• Solid experience with Ansible for automation and configuration management

• Strong Linux and networking fundamentals

• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes

• Scripting skills in Bash or Python

• Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and cloud automation

• Confident English for daily cooperation with international teams

Nice to have

• Experience in regulated environments (especially payments/financial services)

• Knowledge of cloud security frameworks and compliance standards

• Exposure to monitoring and observability tooling

• Understanding of cost optimisation and FinOps practices
