Do you enjoy building high-performance backend services that power mission-critical fintech platforms - where scale, security, and real-time processing are non-negotiable? We are looking for a Java Backend Developer to join a strategic payments client portal team supporting enterprise merchants with transaction monitoring, settlements, financial reporting, invoicing, and payment analytics.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop backend services using Java 17+

• Build scalable components supporting transaction data, settlements, and reporting

• Integrate with Oracle databases, internal payment systems, and external financial APIs

• Develop secure REST APIs aligned with fintech compliance standards

• Collaborate with product owners, analysts, architects, and QA in an Agile setup

• Optimize system performance, reliability, and data processing efficiency

• Participate in code reviews, testing, and continuous improvement initiatives

• Support platform modernization and production issue resolution

• Contribute to clean code practices and long-term platform scalability

What we are looking for

• 3-5 years of commercial Java backend experience

• Strong knowledge of Java 17+ and modern backend frameworks

• Hands-on experience with relational databases - ideally Oracle (SQL, PL/SQL)

• Experience with microservices and distributed systems

• Solid understanding of REST API design and system integrations

• Experience working in Agile teams

• Good communication skills and ability to work in international environments

  
  

Nice to have: fintech/payments/banking or other regulated domains; CI/CD, DevOps, containers; messaging/event-driven architecture; high-volume/real-time systems background
