AI Engineer

We are looking for an experienced AI Engineer to join a remote project in the professional services industry. This role combines LLM integration, backend engineering, and AI system architecture using Node.js, LangGraph, and vector databases.

You will be responsible for building and optimizing AI-powered backend systems, integrating LLMs, and implementing prompt-first architectures for enterprise-grade automation tools.

Main responsibilities:

• Architect and implement backend logic for AI-powered systems
• Build LLM-based intelligent agents using LangGraph or LangChain
• Connect and manage vector databases such as Pinecone, Weaviate, or Chroma
• Own and evolve Node.js-based backend architecture for scalability and performance
• Design and optimize prompt workflows
• Integrate with third-party APIs and external AI services
• Collaborate with frontend developers and product teams

Requirements:

• 4+ years of experience in software development (Node.js strongly preferred)
• Minimum 2 years working on AI/LLM-driven applications
• Hands-on experience with LangChain, LangGraph, or similar orchestration tools
• Proficiency with vector databases and retrieval pipelines
• Strong background in API integration, prompt design, and deployment pipelines
• Practical coding skills in both Python and Node.js
• English at C1 level and fluent Polish
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure or AWS)

Nice to have:

• Experience building AI copilots or conversational interfaces
• Knowledge of React or Next.js for connecting UI to backend logic
• Work with OpenAI, Anthropic, or Gemini APIs
