Full Stack PHP Developer

Macrobond is looking for a Full Stack PHP Developer to join the Macrobond Technology team. You will play a key role supporting the Technology team and the growing business. This is an exciting opportunity to join Macrobond as we accelerate our growth and build strong foundations across our company

What will you be doing?

You'll take over maintenance and development of multiple internal and client facing applications written in PHP - both web-based and running as batch jobs.

You'll also have a chance to identify new areas where your skills can help others to work more efficiently or improve the performance of existing process.

You’ll work closely with other teams – economists, Java & C# developers, system administrators, sales and product teams. Most of the software you’ll create and maintain will be used by our employees, with which you’ll cooperate to understand the requirements and create the most suitable solutions.

What will you need to do it?

• Computer science background
• Good overall communication skills, good written and spoken English
• Willingness to share knowledge and collaborate with colleagues
• At least 2 years of professional software development experience
• Very good knowledge of PHP 7.x/8.x
• Good knowledge of the MySQL/HTML/JavaScript stack
• Knowledge of Symfony framework
• Understanding of web security threats and mitigation techniques
• Basic Linux system administration skills
• Willingness to learn, research and experiment on your own – we do have some small C++ and C# code base maintained by the same team

Additional experience that will be very welcome

• Design and work with the databases ranging in size from thousands to billions of rows
• Hands on experience with MariaDB, MySQL, PostgreSQL, ClickHouse, Manticore Search
• Experience with C++, C#
• Designing highly available and highly performant systems
• Use/customization of: Mantis, Best Practical's RT, WordPress
