Role Overview

The Data Conversion Lead is responsible for leading, coordinating, and governing all data migration activities into Oracle and Microsoft Dynamics 365 solutions. This role ensures that all migrated data is accurate, complete, compliant, and fully ready to support business operations at go-live across multiple systems and rollouts.

The Data Conversion Lead acts as the end-to-end owner of the data conversion workstream, working closely with business data owners, IT teams, and external vendors.

Key Objectives

• Own the data conversion workstream end-to-end across Oracle and Dynamics

• Ensure high data quality, consistency, and completeness

• Align business, IT, and vendors on data standards, scope, and timelines

• Reduce data-related risks ahead of cutover and go-live

• Establish repeatable and scalable data migration processes for future rollouts

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong experience in data migration / data conversion for Oracle and/or Microsoft Dynamics

• Hands-on experience with Oracle migration templates and Dynamics 365 data import tools

• Solid understanding of master data and transactional data domains

• Experience working with business data owners and system integrators

• Knowledge of data governance, data quality, validation, and reconciliation

• Strong coordination, planning, and communication skills

Scope of Responsibilities

Data Conversion Strategy & Governance

• Define and own the overall data conversion strategy for Oracle and Microsoft Dynamics

• Establish data governance principles, standards, and quality criteria

• Define data ownership, accountability, and validation responsibilities across business domains

Oracle & Dynamics Data Migration Leadership

• Lead data migration activities into:

  • Oracle Cloud (Finance, SCM, HCM)

  • Microsoft Dynamics 365 (CE, Field Service, Project Operations)

• Define migration scope, data templates, mappings, and load strategies

• Ensure correct and efficient use of Oracle migration tools and Dynamics data import frameworks

Data Quality, Validation & Reconciliation

• Define data quality rules and validation criteria across both platforms

• Coordinate data cleansing, validation, and reconciliation activities

• Ensure business review and formal sign-off of migrated data

Business & Vendor Coordination

• Work closely with business data owners and functional leads

• Coordinate data conversion activities with system integrators, AMS partners, and vendors

• Align data migration milestones with the overall program plan

Cutover & Go-Live Support

• Support cutover planning and execution related to data loads

• Ensure readiness for mock migrations, dress rehearsals, and final production loads

• Support hypercare and post go-live data issue resolution
